Short Sales in Minnesota

Short Sales are everywhere now days. Next to buying a foreclosure (REO) they are the hottest thing in real estate.

The right realtor can make a short sale smooth and the wrong realtor can make the decision to try and sell a home as a short sale a bad one. Minnesota has a large inventory of short sales and is a community I focus on as I am a resident of the area.  I have perfected a system that has made those who have chosen to use me as their short sale realtor in Minnesota a good choice.

Short sales mean the lender takes less than owed and are a big decision. For the most part if there is a chance you could loose your home to foreclosure then there is no reason not to try one. I never charge any fees up front and most times the bank pays for all of my services (unless your home is worth less than 60k, then a small fee applies only at the closing table, never upfront. No closing, no fee). Short sales are a very long process and my job is to guide you and fight for you the whole time.  Your credit depends on the choices you make right now and the sooner the better.

The short version of a short sale is this;

  • You are or are in a very imminent position of falling behind on your mortgage
  • I gather your info and immediately begin trying to find a buyer to place and offer.
  • I take that offer and negotiate a short payoff with your lender
  • We close on the home
